The rate at which new technology is being added to front load washers these days is pretty amazing, considering that washer technology didn’t change much for a few decades. There are many models on the market today across a wide range of prices and number of features, and most manufacturers offer many models to choose from, with Whirlpool being no different. The Whirlpool WFW95HEXW Duet front load steam washer is one of the more expensive washers that Whirlpool offers, but it has a large list of features to try to justify that price.
Features:
- 4.3 cu. ft. stainless steel washer basket helps you tackle even the largest loads
- Most efficient washer on the market uses up to 77% less water and 81% less energy than older washers
- 11 automatic wash cycles allow you to match the washer’s settings to any load
- Care Control Temperature Management enabled by 6th Sense utilizes sensors to adjust both water volume and temperature to help protect your clothes
- FanFresh system with Dynamic Venting Technology will circulate air through the washer for up to 16 hours after a cycle ends to keep your clothes smelling clean, and can even dry a small load
- H2Low and 6th Sense is designed to get your clothes as clean as possible, while also minimizing water usage
- 1400 RPM maximum spin speed reduces drying time and costs by removing more water from clothes in the washer
- Deep Clean Steam Cycle gets out even the toughest stains by using steam to thoroughly penetrate fabric to break up stains
- Delay the cycle start time by up to 16 hours so it will start, and finish, when most convenient
- Estimated cycle time remaining display lets you know at a glance when your clothes will be done with an easy to read LCD display
- Get alerted when the cycle is finished by the end of cycle alert
- Add a garment feature lets you quickly add a forgotten item within the first 8 minutes of the cycle
- Child safety control lockout prevents unwanted playing with the washer
- Clean Washer cycle with Affresh lets you use the washer to clean itself to keep it performing optimally
- Direct Inject Washing System virtually eliminates the need to pretreat by using a concentrated burst of detergent directly onto items
- Oxi Dispense Option enhances the cleaning power of the washer by automatically adding an oxygenated bleach alternative at the correct time
Overall the Whirlpool Duet WFW95HEXW has gotten pretty high reviews, receiving 4.6 of a possible 5 stars from those consumers who’ve purchased this front load washer and chosen to post a review. One caveat about these reviews is that there aren’t that many of them out there, but that tends to be the case with the more expensive models - like this one. In general, owners were quite pleased with the capacity of this front loader, no surprise given that it has one of the largest capacities available. Also people found the number of features to be impressive. Perhaps most importantly though, consumers tended to comment that the washer’s performance was one of its strong points. The general consensus is that the WFW95HEXW gets clothes clean quietly and efficiently, then spins them to be quite dry.
Unlike many Whirlpool front load washers, this model doesn’t have massive durability issues surrounding it. There weren’t many complaints, and what there were didn’t follow any type of theme. One person didn’t like the add a garment feature, another had a motor go bad under warranty, another had a circuit board go bad under warranty. The whole point of a warranty is that if something goes bad shortly after purchasing the machine, it gets replaced for free, and in these cases that seems to be what happened, and yet they still gave the WFW95HEXW the lowest possible ratings, so in all reality the ratings for this machine could be much higher.
It seems as though the vast majority of people who have purchased the Whirlpool Duet WFW95HEXW front loading washing machine are happy with their purchase. A few disgruntled consumers who did have some durability issues that were repaired under warranty by their own admission shouldn’t be enough to discourage anyone from buying this model. That being said, the front load washer market is a crowded one with similar offerings from other companies getting similarly high reviews. Ultimately it might come down to finding one model or another on sale at any given time.

Whirlpool WFW9750WW Front Load Washer Review
MSRP: $1300, Internet Prices from $879 (including tax and estimated shipping)
There are many front load washers on the market today with a wide range of prices. Most manufacturers try to offer a varienty of washers with different sizes and features to spread across the spectrum of prices in order to offer a washer to suit the needs of every consumer. Whirlpool is no different that most other companies in this respect, with a large number of washers to choose from. The Whirlpool wfw9750ww is a smaller capacity steam washer built to attract buyers who want all the features available, but don’t necessarily need or want the largest capacities, and it makes the claim to be the most efficient front load washer on the market. Not terribly long ago, in order to get all of the top of the line features, you also needed to buy a the largest sized washer as well, but this is no longer the case, as the WFW9750WW shows.
Features:
- 3.9 cu. ft. stainless steel washer basket is large enough to wash 18 paris of jeans
- Most efficient washer on the market uses up to 77% less water and 81% less energy than older washers
- Choose from 14 automatic cycles to tailor the machines settings to any load of laundry
- Care Control Temperature Management system uses a system of sensors to adjust the water temperature automatically to get clothes as clean as possible without causing shrinkage or color fade
- FanFresh system circulates air through the washer for up to 10 hours after the cycle ends to prevent odors and keep clothes fresh
- H2Low system uses sensors to use the minimal amount of water while still getting your clothes clean
- NightQuiet™ Option allows you to reduce noise by choosing a lower spin speed
- 1400 RPM maximum spin speed gets clothes dryer in the washer to reduce time in the dryer
- Deep cleaning steam option uses steam to penetrate deeply into fabrics to break up tough stains
- Delay Start allows you to load the washer now, but start it later when it is convenient
- Display indicates the estimated time remaining to let you know when to come back to switch your load to the dryer
- End of cycle signal will let you know when the washer is finished
- Child safety control lockout prevents unwanted playing with the washer
- Smooth Spin technology uses shock absorbers, springs, and electronic sensors to limit vibrations and therefore noise
- Direct Inject Washing System injects a concentrated burst of detergent into the drum to prevent the need to pretreat
- Oxi Dispense Option allows the use of a bleach alternative to add oxygenated additive at the proper time
- Add-A-Garment feature ensures that you don't forget something within the first few minutes of the cycle
Sadly, despite the impressive list of features it has the Whirlpool wfw9750ww front load washer did not get good revies from consumers. While there aren't hundreds of reviews out there for this model like there are for some of the entry level front loaders, there are enough to draw some reasonable conclusions about the WFW9750WW. Overall it only gets a rating of 3.2 stars out of a possible 5. While this isn't quite the lowest rating you’ll find for a front load washer, it is certainly near the bottom of the list. Those reviews there were good listed features and appearance as good points, but there were more bad reviews that good for this model.
There is a definite trend within the negative reviews out there for the Whirlpool wfw9750ww front load washer. The central issue of the majority of complaints about this washer is durability. There are a good of complaints about the wfw9750ww complaingin that the bearings around the driveshaft for the washer tub go bad causing the machine to vibrate violently and uncontrollable. This seems to be a fairly common issue, and whats worse, the general lifetime of these bearings for what appears to be normal use seems to be about 1-2 years, meaning that they fail not too long after the warranty runs out. Many of the complaints further go on to mention that the costs to replace the bearings for parts + labor end up being close to, and in some cases more than, the cost of the machine brand new. Even when the machine failed while under warranty there are a number of complaints indicating that they were unable to get repairs due to back ordered parts for weeks at a time.
With as many models for front load washer as there are to choose from, it would seem as though there are simply better alternatives out there than the Whirlpool WFW9750WW. Other manufacturers are offering models with similar features, and similar price that have received much better reviews from customers. One such example is the LG WM3360HWCA, which has a similar capacity, similar features, similar price, but receives a rating of 4.95 out of 5 stars. There are other Whirlpool washers that are reviewed here that have complained about the same issue with bearings, so it is likely best to stay away from Whirlpool as a whole for the time being.

Whirlpool WFW9550WW Front Load Washer Review
MSRP: $1100, Internet Prices from $768 (including tax and estimated shipping)
The front load washer market is a crowded one with many companies offering multiple models at various price points and levels of features to compete for your business. Whirlpool is one of these such companies with a wide range of washers to choose from. The Whirlpool WFW9550WW is a smaller capacity steam washer built to attract buyers who want all the features available, but don’t necessarily need or want the largest capacities. It wasn’t too long ago when only the largest capacity washers offered the top of the line features, but with the WFW9550WW that’s not the case, it has a full list of features.
Features:
- 3.8 cubic feet of capacity from the durable stainless steel washer basket let you wash 18 pairs of jeans at once
- Choose from 12 automatic cycles let you choose the right settings with the touch of a button
- Care Control Temperature Management system automatically adjusts the water temperature so that it is hot enough to fully dissolve detergent, but not too hot to cause shrinking or colors to run
- Delay Start lets you set the washer to start when the time is best for you
- Duet Steam system provides steam for extra versatile cleaning options
- TumbleFresh will intermittently tumble a load once the cycle is finished to help reduce wrinkles and prevent odors
- Adjustable signal for the end of cycle to emit an audible alert when a cycle finishes
- Child safety lock prevents children from playing in the washer
- QuietWash Plus noise reduction system uses stabilizers and direct drive to limit vibrations and noise
- NightQuiet™ Option lets you select to use a lower spin speed to lower noise even more when you need to
- Direct Inject Washing System uses a concentrated burst of detergent to eliminate your need to pretreat clothes
- Add-A-Garment lets you add to the load early on in the cycle, just in case you forgot something
When it comes to customer reviews of the Whirlpool WFW9550WW front load washer, it doesn’t fare well at all. There are a good number of reviews out there for this washer, and sad to say, but there are more bad than good. Overall it receives only 2.4 stars out of a possible 5. This is one of the lower ratings you’ll find for a front load washer. Those reviews there were good listed the value and features as good points, but there weren’t many good reviews out there.
The negative reviews out there for this washer were very consistent in what the complaint was about the Whirlpool WFW9550WW front load washer. This machine has durability issues. The vast majority of complaints about the WFW9550WW center around the bearings around the driveshaft for the washer tub. Apparently these are prone to failure - and they seem to regularly fail every 1-2 years, with most all the complaints pointing out that the bearings started to fail just after the warranty expired. The replacement costs on these bearings seems to start around $600 for parts, plus shipping, plus labor, which seems to add up to be another few hundred dollars. This means that replacing the bearings when they go will very likely cost nearly as much as the new purchase price of the whole machine.
As stated above, the market for front load washers is a crowded one. There are almost certainly other companies that have a better alternative front load steam washer with a similar capacity, list of features, and price to the Whirlpool WFW9550WW that have fewer questions out there about their durability. For example this LG WM3360HWCA review indicates a washer that fits this criteria and seems to have a rating of 4.95 out of 5 stars. As with some of the other Whirlpool washers reviewed here durability seems to be really lacking in the WFW9550WW.

Samsung WF350ANW Front Load Washer Review
MSRP: $1099, Internet Prices from $989 (including tax and estimated shipping)
Samsung offers a full selection of front load washers for sale here, attempting to be able to offer a model to fit the needs and price desires of every potential customer. With the WF350ANW Samsung is offering what they are calling the largest capacity front load washer in its class. Samsung claims that this washer can fit 31 bath towels in a single load - a simply massive capacity. It also features technology aimed at prolonging the life of clothes with a specially designed drum among its many features.
Features:
- 3.7 cubic feet of capacity is the largest front loader in its class, capable of washing up to 31 bath towels in a single load.
- PureCycle self-cleaning runs extremely hot water through the spinning drum instead of using chemicles
- Diamond Drum technology is designed specifically to reduce wear and tear on your clothes
- Samsung Vibration Reduction Technology (VRT) reduces vibration and noise to allow installation on second floors or near living spaces
- Direct Drive motor allows spin speeds of up to 1300 RPM to extract maximal water and reduce drying times

- 11 wash cycles to choose from to suit nearly any load
- 4 temperature settings
- Energy Star Certified
- Steam Washing technology
- Delay start and end of cycle alarm let you choose when the cycle starts, and let you know when it finishes
Customers who have taken the time to post reviews online about the Samsung WF350ANW seem to be generally quite happy with their purchase. There are a good number of reviews out there online for this front load washer, and the overall average rating is 4.7 of 5 stars, with 93% of owners saying that they would recommend this washer to someone else. In the front load washer market, this level of approval is about as good as you can hope for. The washer gets generally very strong marks in the areas of features and design, and rates generally well in the area of value as well.
There is a curious and somewhat disturbing trend among reviews, even those that ultimately rate the washer as good, and people who would recommend it. Of a 4 category rating system where the categories are features, performance, design, and value, performance is consistently rated the lowest. This brings up the question of would you rather have a few extra features, or a washer that doesn’t have a ton of bells and whistles, but just works well. Most consumers would probably choose the latter. There are a number of complaints about heavily soiled clothes not getting all the way clean, and particularly sweaty clothes not smelling clean after a cycle.
There are always a few people who have some buyers remorse, or get one that has a malfunction and end up giving the washer terrible reviews, sometimes unwarranted. With the Samsung WF350ANW, that really doesn’t seem to be the case. Reading through the poor reviews indicates that most seem quite warranted, and even some people rated the washer overall pretty well, while complaining that it doesn’t always get clothes as clean as the washer it replaced did. So with this all being said, it looks like the Samsung WF350ANW front load washer is likely not the best possible buy for your $1000 of hard earned money.

There aren’t an abundance of reviews out there on the internet for the Whirlpool WFW94HEXW, but it seems that what is out there is generally not very good. The average review out there is a 3.5 out of 5 stars, which on the surface perhaps doesn’t appear too bad. However, looking more closely at the reviews indicates a pattern. It seems that as a general rule people either liked the WFW94HEXW or hated it. Reviewers seemed to give this front load washer either 5 stars, or 1 star with little middle ground. It should be noted if a washer were to get an even number of 1s and 5s, it would get 3 stars, meaning that barely more people liked this washer than strongly disliked it. The most common complaint that consumers have of the Whirlpool WFW94HEXW revolves around durability, which seems to be a common theme among other Whirlpool models as well.
Perhaps the reviews out there don’t paint the true picture for the WFW94HEXW, but given that there are so many other options available for this price, it is probably worth it to look into other front load washer models.

Whirlpool WFW9150WW Front Load Washer Review
MSRP: $699, Internet Prices from $521 (does NOT include tax and shipping)
With front load washers all the rage these days, it should come as no surprise that a well known, and long standing maker of top load washers like Whirlpool would be working to add front load washers to their portfolio. While, like most manufacturers, Whirlpool tries to have a front load washer at every level of price and feature to appeal to all consumers, it is the entry level market segment that is the most important. One of the offerings that Whirlpool brings into this highly competitive market space is the WFW9150WW. The Whirlpool WFW9150WW has received just terrible ratings from consumers. Overall the most common rating that owners have given it is 1 star, the lowest possible rating. The complaints seem to be generally centered around two issues. One is that clothes end up with rips or holes in them from using this washer. The second is that this washer just seems to lack the durability to stand up to normal use by a family. An extremely common theme among those who’ve reviewed this washer negatively is that shortly after the 1 year warranty expires the machine started to fall apart. With reviews that are this consistent it seems simple to just disregard this washer in favor of some of its competition that has received better reviews. In fact, for a model that isn’t very old, it seems to have already been discontinued.
Consumers looking for something in this price and feature range could check out the http://frontloadwasherreviews.blogspot.com/2011/09/samsung-wf220anw-front-load-washer.html">Samsung WF220ANW, or the LG WM2140CW, which has been around for quite a while and has been a favorite of those who have purchased it. It also has a slightly larger capacity for similar price.

* Smooth spin technology uses a 5 point suspension system is designed to prevent vibrations for smoother operation

The Whirlpool WFW9050XW has received an average rating of 4.1 out of a possible 5 stars over the span of a few hundred ratings and reviews on the internet. Overall 92% of reviewers would recommend this model to another consumer. Among the chief things that people have mentioned as positives about this washer, is how quietly it operates; to be expected given the Quiet Wash features. Generally speaking this washer is perceived as a good value, and that is does a good job of getting clothes clean as well.
Reading the reviews that negatively review this washer and it is the typical mix of negative reviews, split more or less evenly among the typical themes. Some of the poor reviews complain of mold and poor odor coming from the washer. Yet another subset of the negative reviews complain about vibrations. The third major grouping complains of hardware failures that take, in the estimation too long to repair, or cost to much. It is worth noting however that there are a few negative reviews that are out there that indicate that some thing about this washer is causing clothes to experience excessive wear, and in some cases become entirely ruined.
Overall, and unfortunately for the Whirlpool WFW9050XW, it appears as though there are better alternatives out there for those who are looking for an entry level front load washer. One such better alternative might be the Samsung WF220ANW, which has the same MSRP and therefore can be found at various stores for more or less the same price as the WFW9050XW, but has a larger capacity and has received better reviews. Another alternative is the LG WM2140CW, which has been around for quite a while and has been a favorite of those who have purchased it. It also has a slightly larger capacity for more or less the same price. In a market as crowded as the front load washer market is, with consumers having many choices from various manufacturers to meet their needs, it is important to stand out in some way, and unfortunately, the Whirlpool WFW9050XW just doesn’t seem to be as good a choice as some other models.

Samsung WF220ANW front load washer review
MSRP $699, Internet Prices from 599 (shipping included)
Samsung makes a broad range of electronic equipment, and included in this is a lineup of front load washers. Samsung attempts to appeal to nearly every consumer by offering a model at nearly every price point in the market based on size and number of features. Representing a mid level front load washer is the wf220anw, it is slightly larger and has a few extra features over a bare bones entry level model, but lacks some of the truly high end features, like steam cleaning, of the most expensive front loaders on the market. With a large capacity and an attractive price tag, Samsung is attempting to appeal to those who want a no frills front load washer capable of handling the rigors of doing laundry for a family.
Features:
* 4.0 cu. ft. Capacity potentially saves you time by allowing you to do fewer total loads of laundry
* Vibration Reduction Technology is designed to reduce noise to make this washer so quiet you won't know it is on, whether it is on a basement floor or a 2nd floor laundry room.
* Multiple washing programs to choose from to pair the washer's settings to the requirements of nearly any load.
* PureCycle is a special cleaning cycle that uses only very hot water instead of chemicals to remove any dirt and detergent residue in the drum.
* Direct Drive Inverter Motor allows the very high spin speeds and reduces moving, vibrating parts.
* Woolmark Certified means that the wool wash cycles on this machine have been independently tested and certified to be safe for wool products
* Sanitize Option is a cycle option that heats water to an extremely high temperature to remove 99.9% of the bacteria that is commonly found in laundry, as certified by an independent 3rd party.
* Child Lock is a safety feature that will prevent children from playing with the washer, even sounding an alert when activated.
* Delay Start feature allows the delayed starting of a wash cycle for up to 19 hours so that it will end at the most convenient time for you.
* Stackable with Matching Dryer
* Optional Pedestal with Storage Drawers raises the height of the washer for simpler loading and unloading as well as providing storage space.
The Samsung WF220ANW has received very high marks from consumers who have rated this machine online. It has an overall rating of 4.7 out of 5 stars with 94% of people willing to recommend this washer to another consumer. Among the most often cited aspects of the WF220ANW for consumers is overall washer performance, a logical following from this high rating. If the machine looked great, and had a great list of features, but ultimately left clothes unclean after a wash cycle, it would be difficult to justify giving that machine a high rating. Also consumers are impressed with the overall value of the washer for the price. This seems like a winning combination, if the machine does a good job cleaning clothes, and is a bargain to purchase, that should make for a popular washer.
As for the negative reviews out there for the Samsung WF220ANW, of which there aren't many, there are no trends within them. Among the list of the negative reviews, there was one reviewer who got on and gave the washer a terrible review, before ever having even used the product, the review was based solely on the behavior of the installer. This is a poor reflection of the retailer who sold the washer, which wasn't even mentioned in the review, and not Samsung. Another reviewer spent hundreds of words to write a review that basically came down to that it gets the clothes clean, was a good value, but the cycles take longer than their top loader, a trait in common of all front load washers, again not a poor reflection of this model. The rest were the typical reviews whereby something broke, but all were during the warranty period and all were replaced seemingly without cost to the end user.
Overall, the Samsung WF220ANW looks like it would make a good purchase for any consumer who is looking to purchase a new front load washer. Based on reviews it performs well, and is a good value for the price. The WF220ANW is in direct competition with some other extremely popular models from other manufacturers, like the LG WM2240CW, which has similar features and a nearly identical price. Unlike some of the other models offered, this Samsung holds its own. Ultimately in a market as competitive and crowded as the front load washer market is, a purchasing decision may be made based on currently running promotions, but the Samsung WF220ANW is likely to leave any consumer who purchases it ultimately pleased with their decision.

Samsung WF210ANW Front Load Washer Review
MSRP: $699, Internet Prices: $475 (tax and shipping included)
Samsung makes an large range of front load washers, some of which are among the most popular models on the market today. Samsung offers many models to choose from at various price points representing various sized and numbers of features, so there should be something in their lineup to fit the needs of nearly every consumer. One of these offerings, the Samsung WF210ANW front load washer represents their entry level model. By pairing a comparatively low price with a healthy list of features Samsung is is attempting to attract those consumers who want all the benefits of having a front load washer, but don't want to spend the money on some of the high-end features that are available on some models.
Features:
* 3.5 cubic foot capacity giving this washer the ability to wash large loads
* Stainless steel washing drum provides strength and durability
* Soft dial touch pad controls are simple and easy to use for your convenience
* 6 washing cycles to choose from to suit any combination of clothes
* 19 hour delay start option allows the convenience to load the washer now, but run it later
* Child safety lock prevents children from getting into places they shouldn't be
* Automatic temperature control can accommodate anything from delicate to heavily soiled loads
* Vibration Reduction Technology (VRT) reduces noise and vibrations and allows installation of this washer in 2nd floor laundry rooms
* EnergyStar rated
Overall the Samsung WF210ANW received a rating of 4.5 of 5 stars, and 83% of consumers who have reviewed this washer would recommend it to a friend. There are a fairly large number of reviews out there for this washer, and it is not a new model. Both of these ratings are somewhat lower than many of the other front load washers reviewed here. Not surprisingly, given its position in the market, value for price is one of the aspects of the WF210ANW that consumers most like. Also listed quite frequently as a pro for this model is the bright and easy to read display.
Among the complaints about this washer one of the major trends is that the “hot” water cycle isn't even as hot as the water coming out of the tap is because it takes that water and mixes it with cold water too, so the hottest setting the machine offers only ends up to be lukewarm. As with all front load washers, there are a few complaints of the mold in the tub and excessive vibrations, but no more frequently than with any model out there. A slightly more alarm raising issue is the high incidence of complaints that the washer was delivered, and installed but never worked right from the beginning with a bad main circuit board almost always being the cause of the issue.
Overall, it just seems like there might be better front load washer alternatives out there than the Samsung WF210ANW. Despite being one of the least expensive front loaders, given the deep discounts below MSRP some retailers are offering, it seems to have some durability questions. Also, the feature list seems to be just slightly shorter than that of some of its competetors. For instance check out this Maytag MHWE200XW review which received slightly better reviews and has a few more features and a price tag slightly higher. Another alternative is the LG WM2140CW, which has great reviews, and a larger capacity to go with a price tag barely higher. If price is the only factor, then yes this Samsung WG210ANW can be found for some of the lowest prices of any front load washer, and you're likely to be overall not disappointed, but be aware that there are some seemingly better options out there.

Samsung WF330ANW/XAA Front Load Washer Review
MSRP: $899, Internet Prices: $809, shipping included
Samsung front load washers are among some of the more popular models of front loaders on the market today. Samsung offers many models to choose from at various price points representing various sized and numbers of features. One of these offerings, the Samsung WF330ANW/XAA front load washer makes the claim of being the largest front loader in its class. With a claimed capacity of 31 bathroom towels (size of 24x44 inches) this washer sure can handle some huge loads of laundry. With some other innovative technologies included into this model, and a good list of features, Samsung is doing their best to compete in the very crowded front load washer market.
Features:
* 3.7 cubic foot capacity gives this washer class leading capacity
* Diamond Drum uses diamond shaped depressions in the drum to keep clothes safe from snags while still providing an effective wash
* PureCycle runs extremely hot water, instead of chemicals, through the empty drum to clean and sanitize the washing drum
* 9 washing cycles to choose from to suit any combination of clothes
* 24 hour delay start option allows the washer to be started at any specific time
* Automatic dispenser for detergent, bleach and fabric softener to add them at the proper times, and allow for hands off laundry washing
* Vibration Reduction Technology (VRT) reduces noise and vibrations and allows installation of this washer in 2nd floor laundry rooms
* EnergyStar rated
Overall the Samsung WF330ANW/XAA front loader received a total rating of 4.6 out of 5 stars, and 90% of reviewers would recommend this model of washing machine to another consumer. This model has been around for a decent amount of time, and has also been fairly popular, so there are a good number of reviews out there to be found for it, meaning that these numbers can be accepted with a reasonable level of confidence. The trends with what people like best about the Samsung WF330ANW/XAA follow the same as that of other front load washers, consumers like its capacity, and number of features. Worth thinking about here is that claim that this washer has the largest capacity in its class. While the statement must be true, or Samsung surely wouldn't post it on their website, its unclear what precisely the other front loaders in this class are.
As for the complaints that people have about this washer. There are a fair number of negative reviews out there for this front load washer and the majority of them seem to revolve around the same central complaints. The washer seems to have an inability to get itself balanced for a proper spin cycle which has a two fold effect. First this makes the cycle take a very long time as the washer gently shifts around to try to balance the load. There are multiple complaints of the typical load taking over 2 hours to complete – if it completes. The second issue is vibrations. Granted, the overall vast majority of complaints about front loaders are vibration related, so this is not specific to this model. However, one thing that does seem to be somewhat related to this particular model is that the vibrations seem to be related to a mechanical failing of the washer itself. There are complaints that in a cool basement the lubrication of the drum is too thick not allowing a fluid spin. There are instances of a technician declaring the washing drum itself to be warped, which prevents balancing the load and causes vibrations.
There are a lot of choices that consumers have when it comes to buying a new front load washer. The days of there only being a single local store carrying only a brand or two are well in the past for the average American shopper. Given that, and the oddly focused nature of the complaints against this model, perhaps there are better choices out there for most consumers. For instance, check out this LG WM2240CW review, for a washer that has similar size, features, and a lower price tag, without the negative reviews. However, as stated, 90% of the people who have bought this would recommend it to someone else, and that is right up there with as good as can be expected, so this particular model is a bit of an enigma. Perhaps if there is a store with it on sale for a good enough price that buying the extended warranty makes sense, then maybe the Samsung WF330ANW/XAA is the right washer for you.

Looking around at the reviews that are out there for the Maytag MHWE450WW does not paint a good picture for this model of front load washer. Relative to most of the other front load washers reviewed here, this is an extremely low rating, that comes with a fair degree of stability as there are a reasonable number of reviews out there for the MHWE450WW. There are about half as many reviewers that gave this washer a 1 star rating as that gave it 5 stars. Reading through the 1 star reviews quickly shows a trend. This washer seems to have issues with the bearings for the washing drum. There are numerous reviews that complain about the need to replace the bearings early on into the life of this washer, and a number more that complain about severe vibrations, which it is conceivable could be caused by bad bearings. If this happens after the warranty period is up, then the machine is just junk, as the repair will cost well more than the price of the machine brand new, which is somewhat puzzling. If this happens during the warranty period, sure they will be replaced without charge, but the washer might be out of service for a few days.
It is entirely likely that the Maytag company does not manufacture that bearings that there are so many complaints about failures of for this model. Also, it is curious that there aren't more complaints about bearing failures for other models that Maytag makes. The reality of the situation is that this particular model does have these complaints, and consumers have other options when it comes to a midsized front load washer, for instance there is the LG WM2140CW, which has received much better ratings from consumers and is even slightly cheaper. For approximately the same price as the Maytag MHWE450WW there is the Bosch WFVC6450UC, which has a slightly larger tub and Bosch's industry leading efficiencies. With all purchases of this magnitude, do your homework before making a final decision, and hopefully everything will work out well.
The Maytag company has been a major player in appliance manufacture for a long time here in America, and they certainly have brand recognition for washing machines. While not offering quite as many sizes and colors as some other manufacturers, Maytag does offer a full lineup of front load washers with a variety of sizes and number of features. As the mid-sized front load washer offering Maytag has the MHWE450WW performance series washer, which is rated as having the best cleaning ability among major leading brands of comparable size, using comparable cycles with default settings. With Maytag's commercial technology and a strong list of features the Maytag MHWE450WW makes its presence known in the midsize front load washer market.

* 3.9 cubic foot capacity allows massive loads of laundry and handles bulky items, such as pillows and comforters with ease

* National Science Foundation certified sanitary cycles

LG WM2350HWC Front Load Washer Review
Price: MSRP: $839 Internet Prices: $719+
In early 2011 LG has introduced a new feature to their line of front load washers, and with it a host of new models. One of these new front load washers models is the LG WM2350HWC, which is a brand new medium sized front load washer. With as many choices as consumers have when purchasing a new washing machine, companies have to distinguish themselves from their competition somehow. LG attempts to do this with their trade marked “ColdWash” technology. When ColdWash is combined with LG's 6Motion washing cycles, LG claims that this pairing can “give you what seemed impossible: cold-water savings with warm-water performance.“ This is a bold claim, but if it is true, this is a real differentiator for LG in the crowded front load washer marketplace. In addition to these newer features and LG's reputation for building a high quality product, the WM2350HWC features a host of other features.
Features:
* The extra large capacity (4.3 cu. ft.) tub lets you do more laundry in fewer loads
* The upfront electronic control panel with LED display keeps you updated on the cycle status
* Dial-A-Cycle allows you to easily just set-and-go
* ColdWash Technology uses cold water and enhanced washing motions to give you cold-water savings with warm-water performance
* The LG revolutionary 6Motion Technology combines up to 6 washing motions to ensure an outstanding and gentle clean
* 9 Washing Programs: Bulky/Large, Perm Press, Sanitary, Heavy Duty, Delicates, Cotton/Normal, Hand Wash/Wool, Speed Wash, Drain+Spin for versatile washing options - match loads for worry free fabric care
* Energy Star qualified to meet or exceed federal guidelines for energy efficiency for year-round energy and money savings
* SenseClean™ System - automatically sets the water level and wash time for each load based on the weight
* NSF-certified Sanitary Cycle removes even the toughest stains and bacteria
* The LG TrueBalance anti-vibration system reduces washer noise and vibration
* 10 Washing Options include ColdWash, Prewash, Rinse & Spin, Load Size, Tub Clean, Delay Wash (up to 19 hours), Water Plus, Extra Rinse, and Custom Program
* A Child Lock prevents your children from getting into places they shouldn't
* 5 wash speeds and 5 wash temperatures help you choose the proper setting for your clothes
* NeveRust stainless steel drum for durability and long life
* SmartDiagnosis allows you troubleshoot quickly and efficiently over your phone
* End-of-cycle signal alerts you when the load is done
As with most of these newer washers, there simply isn't a whole lot of information to be found coming from people who own the LG WM2350HWC, and have lived with it for a while. Keeping that in mind, the ratings that are out there should be viewed with a wary eye. However, as with most LG front load washers, what has been said about the WM2350HWC so far was been quite positive. With an overall rating of 4.82, and 94% of reviewers indicating that they would be willing to recommend this washer to a friend, the preliminary results are quite promising. As with most front load washers, and in particular this shouldn't be surprising for such a new model with some new to market features, consumers have listed the list of features on this model as one of their most well liked aspects. Also highly mentioned is the ability of this washer to do very large loads of clothes at once.
There are no reviews out there that are overtly negative. There are a few reviews that mention some vibration issues, but that has held true for nearly every model of front load washer, across all manufacturers, and should not be held against this model in particular. Worth noting is that there have, as of now, not been any reviews posted that complain about issues with mold or musty smells. Perhaps this is a result of improvements to the washer itself, but just as likely is that consumers are being better educated these days about the need to care for their front load washer than they have been in years past.
Overall, if you're in the market for a front load washer, and you're looking for a larger capacity than something like the entry level LG WM2140CW, but you don't feel that the expense of a high end steam washer like the LG WM3360HWCA, then perhaps the LG WM2350HWC is the right choice for you. With LG's reputation for making durable quality front load washers, and the high recommendations from the people who already own this washer, you're likely not to be disappointed.

LG WM3360HWCA Front Load Washer Review
Price: MSRP: $1159, Internet Prices: $1040+
LG Electronics is working hard to maintain their position as an industry leader in the front load washer market. In a market where having the next big thing is important, LG has continued to release new models and discontinue older models. In this vein, LG has recently released the WM3360HWCA front load washer. Even though this model is likely to take some sales away from older, but very successful and popular models with similar size and lists of features like the WM2501HWA, which has a slightly smaller capacity but is extremely popular, or the LG WM2801HWA, which has the same capacity. The new WM3360HWCA is not a totally redundant model though, as it does feature some new or improved options over the older models, and for this reason, it at least warrants consideration by anyone looking for a new steam cleaning front load washer.
Features:
* 4.5 cubic foot capacity stainless steel drum is built to handle large loads and to last forever
* Washing tub tilted 10 degrees to allow for easier unloading
* Direct Drive motor with a 10 year warranty has fewer moving parts than a belt drive motor which adds to durability and also reduces noise
* Ultra high speed 1200 maximum RPM spin cycle extracts as much water as possible to reduce drying times
* Sense clean system will automatically choose the proper water level based on the size of the load
* Allergiene Cycle uses steam to remove 95% of all household allergienes from clothes, and is safe enough for even the most delicate loads
* Delay wash allows the washer to be loaded now, but run when it is most convenient
* 6Motion Technology uses 6 different washing motions to get clothes as clean as possible while also being as gentle as possible on the fabric
* TrueSteam technology uses steam to more deeply penetrate fabrics to get them extra clean while also reducing wrinkles and odors, and reducing overall water consumption
* ColdWash options use enhanced washing motions to provide the cleaning power of warm water with the energy efficiencies of washing in cold
* TrueBalance Anti-Vibration system combines with the LoDecibel system to keep the washer running smooth and quiet
* SmartDiagnosis system means the washer will tell you if something is wrong
The LG WM3360HWCA is extremely new to the market right now, so there just aren't that many people that have one of these front load washers yet, so there just isn't a large number of front load washer reviews out there. In fact, it seems as though not even all stores have any of this model in stock yet to be selling. With the reviews that are out there however, there aren't any truly negative reviews. This should be viewed with a wary eye however, as it is very likely that there just aren't many people out there who have run more than a handful of loads through their WM3360HWCA, so perhaps there are some idiosyncrasies that will lead to complaints that just haven't surfaced yet. As of this writing, the LG WM3360HWCA has received an overall rating of 4.95 stars, and there aren't any consumers who have reviewed this front load washer with an overall rating of less than 3 total stars. As with most LG front load washers, and not surprisingly with a brand new model that has some features that are only available on this particular model, consumers were impressed with the list of features of the WM3360HWCA. Consumers viewed value for price to be the weakest aspect of this model front load washer, and given that some older, and extremely popular models can be had for significantly less, again this isn't surprising.
As of the writing of this review, in January of 2011, the WM3360HWCA is brand new to the market, and therefore there just aren't enough consumers who have owned one long enough to really paint a reasonable picture of what this washer really has to offer long term in the way of durability. Worth noting though is that the only major feature that the WM3360HWCA has that other models don't seems to be the special ColdWash options. Washers, whether top or front loading, have been using cold water to wash clothes for years, so it is unclear what these features really do. However, as everything else about this washer seems to also be available on another model that has been around for a while, and has gotten strong marks for durability, it is likely that the LG WM3360HWCA will hold up over time as well. All said and done though, unless having the latest and greatest available is important to you as a consumer, it is likely that as of now, you're better off to purchase a tried and true model, such as the LG WM2501HWA, which will likely save you quite a bit of money as well. If you can do without the steam cycles, then perhaps the LG WM2140CW, LG's entry level front load washer is right for you.

Bosch Axxis WAS24460UC Front Load Washer Review
Price: MSRP: $1469, Internet Prices: $1098 (includes tax and shipping)
As a company, Bosch has been manufacturing a wide range of appliances for quite some time. Included in their overall portfolio of appliances is the Bosch line of front load washers. Bosch produces some of the most water and energy efficient washing machines in the world today. With full lists of features, and an industry leading warranty, Bosch sets a high bar with their front load washers, and the Bosch Axxis WAS24460UC certainly fits into this mold. The compact front load washer market is not as crowded as the full size, and with the WAS24460UC Bosch takes aim at the pinnacle of this smaller niche market by offering a large drum size, and long list of features.
Features:
* 3.4 cu.ft stainless steel drum is largest in compact front loader class
* Surpasses Energy Star 2011 standards and Federal energy standards
* Bosch SensoTronix II uses an advanced system of sensors to analyze the washer load to determine the proper water level and temperature
* Extremely high 1200 RPM spin speed extracts more water in the washer to reduce drying time and energy usage
* 7 washing options and 15 specific washer programs ensure the proper washer settings for almost any load
* Built in water heater to quickly and efficiently heat water
* Quick cycle can quickly wash a small load of moderately dirty clothes

* Touch Controls allow the easy choice and activation of cycles with just a button touch
* 2 year limited warranty is best in the industry
The Bosch Axxis WAS24460UC received an average user rating of 4.3 out of a possible 5 stars. Generally speaking people who have one of these Bosch Axxis washers seem to be pleased, as 83% would recommend that another consumer purchase the WAS24460UC. The most often praised aspects of the WAS24460UC are its performance, overall durability and quality of construction, and the robust list of features on this front load washer. Slightly detracting from the overall rating is that some consumers feel as though the value for the price could have been a bit better.
Among the negative reviews out there for the Bosch Axxis WAS24460UC there is no major over-riding trend, indicating that most issues are likely due to some random error, or even consumer setup in the home. One extremely negative review lamented the additional maintenance required of a front load washer, this is not specific to this, or any, model, but all front loaders. There was one thing that was mentioned in a noticeable number of the negative comments out there. None of the complaints found were very specific, but there appears to be some sort of gap around the door gasket that in some cases small articles of clothing, like socks, can somehow get caught in, and then do not get properly washed. There are also some complaints about increased load cycles, but again, this is generally applicable to all front load washers, and not the Bosch WAS24460UC in particular.
Overall, the Bosch Axxis WAS24460UC appears to be one of the best options out there for those who are in the market to purchase a compact front load washer. With its compact class leading capacity, efficiency and robust list of features, the WAS24460UC sits atop the list of compact front loaders. While not without some, seemingly minor, complaints, overall this front load washer has largely made consumers quite satisfied with their purchase. Although it is more expensive, the added price may well be worth it to purchase this model as opposed to the Bosch WFVC20160UC due to poor reviews. Feel free to comparison shop with the other front load washer reviews found here to find the best fit for your laundry room.

Bosch WAS20160UC Front Load Washer Review
Price: MSRP: $1249; Internet Prices: $1041 includes tax and shipping
As an appliance manufacturer, Bosch produces a wide range of appliances, including their line of front load washers. With this full line of front load washers, Bosch has focused on making the most efficient appliances possible, and has been largely successful. Bosch front load washers are the most efficient, with respect to both energy and water usage, on the market in the US today, exceeding US Federal energy standards by up to 102%. All of the efficiency engineered into the Bosch washers doesn't come at the expense of other features, or a bloated price tag. The Bosch WAS20160UC compact front load washer couples a large capacity with a long list of features and packages it all into a frame meant to fit into smaller areas.
Features:
* 3.4 cubic foot drum is the largest in the compact front load washer class, and is constructed of highly durable stainless steel
* BOSCH SensoTronic Plus system analyzed the contents of the washer to choose the proper water level and temperature
* High spin speed removes more water in the washer to reduce drying times and save energy
* High efficiency internal water heater raises water temperature quickly and efficiently
* 15 different washing programs and 5 washing options let you choose the proper washer behavior for any load type
* Bosch specific KIDSCARE wash cycle is designed to remove a large variety of difficult stains
* Special cycle designed specifically to reduce the need for ironing by fluffing clothes
* Soak option allows clothes to be pre-soaked for a period of time before they enter washing cycles
* Easily activate one of the many cycles with just the touch of a button using Bosch TouchControl techonology
* Industry leading 2 year limited warranty – most manufacturers offer only a 1 year warranty
The Bosch WAS20160UC front load washer doesn't get the sparkling reviews that some of the competitor's models have. With only a average customer rating of 3.7 of 5 stars, the WAS20160UC is rated well below the average ratings of most other front load washers. In addition the the low rating, there are also a lower percentage of owners who would give this front load washer a recommendation to other potential consumers. Among the things that reviewers listed as strong aspects of this model are the acknowledgment that its compact size allows the use of this washer in areas where other, larger, models would not have been possible. While it is nice of reviewers to point this out, the physical size of the WAS20160UC was never in question.
Unlike some other models of front load washer which in some cases seem to get some bad reviews because of either a random collection of issues, or consumers having had unrealistic expectations of their new washer, generally related to maintenance, the complaints about the Bosch WAS20160UC mostly seem to center around the same issue, and seem pretty legitimate. The vast majority of the complaints that have been raised about the Bosch WAS20160UC are related to a high pitched whine that seems to develop during the high speed spin portion of the washing cycle. The high speed spin cycle is one major aspect of front load washers that adds to the efficiency improvements of front load washers by allowing the washer to extract more water with the spin speed, reducing the need for drying time.
Given that the Bosch WAS20160UC receives relatively low consumer ratings, and that the complaints that are out there do have such the tendency to focus on the same overall complaint, perhaps this model of front load washer isn't the best choice. Unfortunately for consumers the compact front load washer segment is a relatively small segment of the market, and as such there aren't as many choices out there as there are for the larger, full sized models. However, there are certainly other alternatives out there. Bosch itself offers other compact front loaders, and the LG WM1355HW has better ratings from owners. In the light of the relatively poor reviews of this particular model of front load washer, the WAS20160UC, Bosch as a whole shouldn't be discounted as a viable manufacturer in your search for a front load washer. For instance the Bosch WFVC6450UC has been reviewed quite highly by owners. Feel free to check other front load washer reviews to find the washer that is right for you.
While there aren't the same number of reviews out there for the Bosch WFVC5400UC as there are for some other front load washers like the LG WM2010CW the reviews that are out there for this front load washer are very positive. It has received an average review of 4.9 out of 5 stars, and every reviewer would recommend this product to another shopper. This is the first front load washer reviewed here to receive a rating this high that is not made by the LG corporation. Across the board the Bosch WFCV5400UC received high marks for all aspects. This front load washer looks like a real strong performer.
With a rating like 4.9 out of 5 stars, there really isn't much negatively said about the Bosch WFVC5400UC front load washer. With most models reviewed here, even the ones that got overall very high reviews there are typically some reviews floating around out there that rate the washer quite low. That isn't the case with this washer. The only thing that some reviewers has to mention slightly negatively about this washer is that they felt that it could have had a slightly better value for the price.
With its very high consumer ratings, and extensive list of features, the Bosch WFVC5400UC seems to be a very good choice for anyone looking to buy a new front load washer. It appears as though this washer is a slightly better alternative to the similarly priced and sized LG WM2301HW, despite the LG offering being a seemingly more common choice for consumers. This particular Bosch model has slightly more features, and one should not forget the industry leading 2 year warrany, with 1 year being the standard. If a fully featured front load washer with a 4.0+ cubic foot capacity is what you are in the market for the Bosch WFVC5400UC front load washer should be a strong consideration.

While doing this, the aren't sacrificing features from their front load machines. *Bosch proprietary EcoSmart Technology makes use of an array of sensors to create the most efficient washers possible
*EcoAction Option can reduce energy use by 20%

*Easy to read and understand digital controls
Similar to other Bosch front load washers, like the WFVC3300UC there aren't many reviews out there for the Bosch WFVC4400UC front load washer. With the average review being about 3.8 out of a possible 5 total stars, what is out there doesn't make the WFVC4400UC look terribly appealing, considering that is is relatively low compared to other front load washers reviewed here with similar size and features. With only, 81% of reviewers willing to recommend this machine to another shopper, this stat ranks among the lowest of the washers reviewed here. Across the board the sentiment about individual aspects of the WFVC4400UC are average just like the overall rating. With consumers in general feeling lukewarm about the value for price and features of the WFVC4400UC. On the plus side for someone who does decide to buy the Bosch WFVC4400UC, performance and durability rate significantly higher among owners. Based on the fact the Bosch offers a 2 year limited warranty, as opposed to 1 year from most other manufacturers it would seem that Bosch believes in the durability of their products as well.
There are no real trends to be found in the negative reviews out there for the Bosch WFVC4400UC front load washer. There are a few instances of complaints about failures shortly after purchase, all of which were covered under warranty, and no real trend here either. One reviewer complained about issues with the spin cycle not working properly; and another about needing to have one of the many sensors on the unit replaced. Its simply that the overall aggregate reviews just aren't very high for this front load washer.
While the Bosch WFVC4400UC front load washer doesn't have fantastic ratings, and consumer recommendations are somewhat low, it is the opinion of this individual that there is no reason that this particular front load washer should be disregarded by any consumer necessarily. It has features and a price that match up very well with other front load washers of this size, and Bosch the company as a whole has been making appliances for a very long time quite successfully, and, based on the industry leading 2 year warranty is clearly willing to stand behind the quality of their work. In particular, the drum size is quite large for the price as well. For example the LG WM2301HW has a similar list of features, and drum size, but a significantly higher MSRP. If you can hold off on your purchase for a few months, to let more reviews filter into the market, perhaps the overall ratings of this washer would trend upward, but still the currently low ratings s

Bosch WFVC3300UC Front Load Washer Review
Price: $650-750
As a company, Bosch has tried to design the most highly energy, and water efficient front load washers available today. To do this, they are most certainly not sacrificing features from their front load machines. The Bosch WFCV3300UC front load washer is currently the entry level front load washer in Bosch's lineup. With a price point in right in the same range as most of the other front load washers of the similar size, the Bosch WFVC3300UC compares well to many of its competetors.
Features:
- 4.4 cubic foot capacity stainless steel drum will allow very large load sizes
- Bosch EcoSmart technology uses a group of sensors to create the most efficient washer possible
- EcoAction Option to further reduce energy consumption by an additional 20% over the already class leading energy efficiency
- ActiveWater features gives 13 gallons of water the cleaning power of 400, making Bosch the most water efficient brand of front load washer in the US
- XxtraSantiary setting to use internal heater to heat water to 170F for extra cleaning power
- 11 choices of wash settings allows tailoring the washer to the particular load
- Quick Cycle option will clean any load in 45 minutes
- Very fast 1100 rpm spin speeds get clothes drier in the washer to reduce time needed in the dryer.
- AVS anti-vibration system to limit vibrations and also keep noise to a minimum
- Easy to read and understand digital controls
While there aren't a huge number of reviews out there for the Bosch WFVC3300UC front load washer, what are out there are somewhat lack luster, with the average review being about 3.4 out of a possible 5 total stars. This rating is among the lowest of those for the front load washers reviewed on these pages. However, 85% of reviewers would recommend this machine to another shopper, again this stat ranks among the lowest of the washers reviewed here. Across the board the sentiment about individual aspects of the WFVC3300UC are very middle of the road. Generally speaking, consumers are lukewarm in their feelings about the value for price and features of the WFVC3300UC. Performance and durability rate significantly higher among owners however, which bodes well for potential owners. Based on the fact the Bosch offers a 2 year limited warranty, as opposed to 1 year from most other manufacturers it would seem that Bosch believes in the durability of their products as well.
In looking at the negative reviews out there for the Bosch WFVC3300UC front load washer, it seems apparent that at least some consumers just didn't know what they were getting into when purchasing a front load washer. One reviewer in particular gave the washer the lowest possible reviews across the board, for every aspect; upon reading their review, it all boils down to this individual simply not being prepared to administer the additional care that is well known to be required of all front load washers. Given that this is the case, could the washer be faulted on performance, sure; but durability, features, and value, perhaps the machine really did deserve better. The positive offshoot of this is that, although the WFVC3300UC did receive some low ratings, there were no specific issues identified to detract from this model of front load washer in particular these low ratings are more of an indictment of front load washers in general.
Despite the low ratings, and lack of recommendations out there for the Bosch WFVC3300UC front load washer, it is the opinion of this reviewer that there is no reason that this particular front load washer should be discounted by any consumer. Its list of features stack up very well with other front load washers in this price range. Bosch the company as a whole has been making appliances for quite a while, and has been quite successful at it. The company is clearly willing to stand behind the quality of their work as they offer the longest general warranty among washer manufacturers. In particular, the drum size is quite large for the price as well. For example the LG WM2301HW has a similar list of features, and drum size, but a significantly higher MSRP. If you can hold off on your purchase for a few months, to let more reviews filter into the market, perhaps the overall ratings of this washer would trend upward, but still the currently low ratings shouldn't be a significant deterrent for potential buyers.

LG WM3885HWCA Front Load Washer Review
Price: $1200-$1500
As of the writing of this review, the LG WM3885HWCA is the newest front load steam washer in LG's model line. Not surprisingly this is model also currently has the highest MSRP of any front load washer that LG has to offer, at $1789, but as noted above, can be found on sale at many online retailers for well below that price. This washer seems extremely similar in design and features to the somewhat older LG WM3875HWCA, yet has an MSRP quite a bit higher. This is not to say that the WM3885HWCA isn't a good value, just that it is extremely similar to another model, while costing a bit more. That price does get you an impressive list of features.
Features:
4.8 cubic feet of capacity to allow the largest possible loads to be washed in the ultra durable stainless steep drum
Direct drive motor increases durability and allows for higher spin speeds, allowing a powerful 1400 RPM max spin speed to wring as much water from clothes before going into the dryer to reduce drying times
Washing tub is tilted slightly back to make reaching in to unload the machine easier
SenseClean system will automatically detect the load size to add the proper amount of water for increased efficiency
6Motion technology uses 6 different motions of the washer drum to get clothes as clean as possible, while being as gentle as possible on those clothes
14 washing programs to choose from including: Allergiene – LG's special anti-allergy program, SteamFresh, Sanitary, SpeedWash, and many more more typical choices.
5 soil levels to allow only as much cleaning as necessary
13 washing options including StainCare, Extra Rinse, FreshCare, SteamWash, and others
5 temperature levels, and many combinations of these levels to choose from.
TrueBalance anti-vibration system to prevent unwanted noise and vibrations and allow the machine to be used on 2nd floor laundry rooms
LoDecibel noise reduction system
Delay wash feature to allow programming the cycle to start at a specific time
End of cycle buzzer
Controls located up front, with a color LCD screen
With an average user rating of 4.9 the LG WM3875HWCA has received high marks from those who own this front load washer. Also, 98% of reviewers would recommend this washer to another consumer, an extremely high mark. For the most part everyone who owns and has reviewed it on the internet seems to agree that they enjoy their new LG WM3885HWCA. Granted, being one of the newest washers that LG has to offer, there aren't as many reviews out there as for some of the older models. This newness means that perhaps some owners simply haven't had it long enough to see any problems arise. Generally speaking, reviewers are impressed with the feature list, and the performance of those features. Also the strong trend is that consumers believe that this machine is well-made and is quite durable.
As far as specific complaints go, there aren't any specific things that people find off-putting about the LG WM3885HWCA, there are however some consumers who seem to be suffering a small amount of buyers remorse, in as much as they're not completely convinced that the, although generally impressive, list of features is worth the sheer price of this washer. This is a sentiment that is expressed about many of the highly expensive steam cleaning front load washers. Another review also commented about the machine having a seemingly difficult time being able to balance a load consisting of a small enough number of items. This complaint is a product of the nature of front load washers. The physics of the situation simply dictate that balancing a single item in the washer drum for the high speed spin cycle will simple not be possible. The LG WM3885HWCA should not be given a negative mark for user error.
Overall, while the LG WM3885HWCA, like basically all LG washers has gotten quite good reviews. Consumers generally feel like they have bought a well-made, high-performing machine. That being said, this is a quite expensive appliance. Not only that, it isn't fully clear to this individual what the real differentiators are between the WM3885HWCA and the WM3875HWCA are. They are both the same capacity, and their specifications seem to be nearly identical too. Given these similarities, and the fact that a quick price search on the internet shows that the WM3785HWCA can be found for under $1000 from some stores, making it about $200 cheaper than the lowest price the could be easily found for the WM3885HWCA, it is not wholly clear why someone should purchase the Wm3885HWCA instead of the WM3875HWCA. Therefore, if you are in the market for a steam cleaning front load washer with a large list of features, and the LG WM3885HWCA has caught you eye, you owe it to yourself to check out this LG WM3875HWCA review before you make a decision on which front load washer to buy.

LG WM1355HW Front Load Washer Review
Price: $950 - $1100
At first glance at the LG WM1355HW front load washer might appear to be vastly over priced. The LG WM2010CW has a much larger capacity, and similar features, for 60% of the cost. The LG WM2501HWA is approximately the same price, and is a steam cleaning front load washer. However, where the LG WM1355HW really differs from these other two LG models is in the overall size of the washer itself; the WM1355HW is a compact front loader. If one of the other models simple won't fit into the space available, then there is no choice but to pay the premium price for the smaller, more compact WM1355HW. Despite this compact size, the LG WM1355HW is not lacking in overall features though.
Features:
- NeveRust stainless steel drum with 2.7 cubic foot capacity for large loads and durability
- Direct drive motor allows longer life and quieter operation
- Ultra high speed 1300 RPM spin reduces drying time be eliminating maximum amount of water during wash cycles
- Delay settings allow programmable start times
- LoDecibel system promotes quiet operation
- 9 different washing programs with 5 temperature settings allow cycles to be tailored to meet the needs of any specific load
- SenseClean system automatically detects load size to add the proper amount of water and choose a cycle time
- Electronic control panel with easy to read LED display
- Sanitary cycle uses internal heater to heat water extra hot for additional cleaning power to remove stains and kill bacteria
- End of cycle tone
There just aren't a large number of reviews out there for the LG WM1355HW front load washer for 2 reasons. First, the WM1355HW is relatively new to the market when compared to a machine like the LG WM2016CW. Secondly, it serves a bit of a niche market being a compact front loader, so most people are likely to choose to buy either a steam cleaning front loader for the same price, or a similarly featured front load washer for much less money. This all means that since there are less reviews out there, trends are less powerful, and the overall averages less meaningful
That all being said, those who have purchased and rated the LG WM1355HW have rated it highly, giving it 4.7 out of a possible 5 starts. In addition, to this high rating, 94% say they would recommend this front load washer to another consumer. The individual aspects that consumers like the most about the WM1355HW are its overall quality, its performance, and its impressive list of features. The first two in that list of three are probably the most important to most consumers, as nobody wants to make a purchase like this and have it broken shortly thereafter. Similarly, if one is to spend over $1000 on a clothes washer, it had better get clothes clean when they are done a wash cycle. While many consumers are infatuated by the list of features on many front load washers, it is unlikely that many of them will get much use, but they are available on this machine if needed.
One aspect about the LG WM1355HW that, in general, did not get very good reviews is the value for price. This seems likely to be related to the fact that, quite frankly, compared to most 'standard' sized front load washers the WM1355HW is a good deal more pricey. However, if the only thing taken into consideration is the cost of this washer compared to the compact front load washers available from other manufacturers then it fares quite well. Besides the fact of getting relatively poor marks for value, there aren't really any truly negative reviews out there. This should be taken with a reasonable dose of circumspect, as it is entirely possible that this washer just isn't old enough to have experienced some of the issues that consumers might not run into until they've owned it for 6 or 8 months and done 50+ loads of wash with it.
Generally speaking, if you are searching for a front load washer and you've got ample space in your laundry room, the LG WM1355HW is probably not the proper choice for you, as there are much better values for the money out there. However, if space is at a premium in your laundry room, like in a condo or something similar, and you want a front load washer, then with its reviewers giving it generally high praise, and its list of features take a look at the LG WM1355HW to suit your needs.
