LG WM2350HWC Front Load Washer Review

Price: MSRP: $839 Internet Prices: $719+

In early 2011 LG has introduced a new feature to their line of front load washers, and with it a host of new models. One of these new front load washers models is the LG WM2350HWC, which is a brand new medium sized front load washer. With as many choices as consumers have when purchasing a new washing machine, companies have to distinguish themselves from their competition somehow. LG attempts to do this with their trade marked “ColdWash” technology. When ColdWash is combined with LG's 6Motion washing cycles, LG claims that this pairing can “give you what seemed impossible: cold-water savings with warm-water performance.“ This is a bold claim, but if it is true, this is a real differentiator for LG in the crowded front load washer marketplace. In addition to these newer features and LG's reputation for building a high quality product, the WM2350HWC features a host of other features.

Features:
* The extra large capacity (4.3 cu. ft.) tub lets you do more laundry in fewer loads
* The upfront electronic control panel with LED display keeps you updated on the cycle status
* Dial-A-Cycle allows you to easily just set-and-go
* ColdWash Technology uses cold water and enhanced washing motions to give you cold-water savings with warm-water performance
* The LG revolutionary 6Motion Technology combines up to 6 washing motions to ensure an outstanding and gentle clean
* 9 Washing Programs: Bulky/Large, Perm Press, Sanitary, Heavy Duty, Delicates, Cotton/Normal, Hand Wash/Wool, Speed Wash, Drain+Spin for versatile washing options - match loads for worry free fabric care
* Energy Star qualified to meet or exceed federal guidelines for energy efficiency for year-round energy and money savings
* SenseClean™ System - automatically sets the water level and wash time for each load based on the weight
* NSF-certified Sanitary Cycle removes even the toughest stains and bacteria
* The LG TrueBalance anti-vibration system reduces washer noise and vibration
* 10 Washing Options include ColdWash, Prewash, Rinse & Spin, Load Size, Tub Clean, Delay Wash (up to 19 hours), Water Plus, Extra Rinse, and Custom Program
* A Child Lock prevents your children from getting into places they shouldn't
* 5 wash speeds and 5 wash temperatures help you choose the proper setting for your clothes
* NeveRust stainless steel drum for durability and long life
* SmartDiagnosis allows you troubleshoot quickly and efficiently over your phone
* End-of-cycle signal alerts you when the load is done

As with most of these newer washers, there simply isn't a whole lot of information to be found coming from people who own the LG WM2350HWC, and have lived with it for a while. Keeping that in mind, the ratings that are out there should be viewed with a wary eye. However, as with most LG front load washers, what has been said about the WM2350HWC so far was been quite positive. With an overall rating of 4.82, and 94% of reviewers indicating that they would be willing to recommend this washer to a friend, the preliminary results are quite promising. As with most front load washers, and in particular this shouldn't be surprising for such a new model with some new to market features, consumers have listed the list of features on this model as one of their most well liked aspects. Also highly mentioned is the ability of this washer to do very large loads of clothes at once.

There are no reviews out there that are overtly negative. There are a few reviews that mention some vibration issues, but that has held true for nearly every model of front load washer, across all manufacturers, and should not be held against this model in particular. Worth noting is that there have, as of now, not been any reviews posted that complain about issues with mold or musty smells. Perhaps this is a result of improvements to the washer itself, but just as likely is that consumers are being better educated these days about the need to care for their front load washer than they have been in years past.

Overall, if you're in the market for a front load washer, and you're looking for a larger capacity than something like the entry level LG WM2140CW, but you don't feel that the expense of a high end steam washer like the LG WM3360HWCA, then perhaps the LG WM2350HWC is the right choice for you. With LG's reputation for making durable quality front load washers, and the high recommendations from the people who already own this washer, you're likely not to be disappointed.

LG WM2140CW Front Load Washer Review

Price: MSRP: $629, Internet Prices: $540+

The LG WM2140CW front load washer has been one of the most popular models of front load washers on the market for some time. The LG WM2140CW is positioned as the 'entry level' front load washer, with the lowest MSRP in the LG line, equal to that of the extremely popular and long standing LG WM2010CW. In the time between the release of the WM2010CW and the WM2140CW LG has made a number of improvements that appear on the newer model. For the same price, the WM2140CW offers a larger capacity and a more robust list of features, including some that have been developed since the release of the WM2010CW.

Features:
* A 4.0 cubic foot capacity will allow for large loads
* An electronic control panel incorporating an LED display with the intuitive Dial-A-Cycle control make choosing the right settings a breeze
* LG's trademarkes SenseClean system uses sensors to automatically set the water level and washing time for each specific load for optimal washing and water conservation
* 7 washing programs can match to nearly any load
* LG 6Motion technology uses 6 different washing movements to provide the best possible clean while being as gentle as possible on clothes
* TrueBalance system designed to reduce vibrations and noise to provide quiet and smooth washing in any setting
* Ultra high speed 1100 RPM spin speed removes as much water as possible in the washer, meaning clothes require shorter drying times
* SmartDiagnosis feature will aid the LG service center in diagnosing problems over the phone, limiting the need to send a service technician to the home
* 1 year warranty on parts and labor, 2 years on the electronic control panel, 10 years on the motor, livetime on the washer drum

As with most any product that is this new, there still isn't a whole lot of feedback about it from consumers to be found by searching through retailer websites. On the plus side for LG and the success of the WM2140CW, what there is out consists of largely positive reviews of this front load washer. Overall the LG WM2140CW receives a rating of 4.3 stars out of 5, with 85% of reviews stating that they would recommend this washer to another shopper. However, that 4.3 should be taken with a grain of salt, as will be discussed later, there are a few, seemingly unfounded, negative reviews that are really dragging the average artificially low. Across the board this front load washer receives strong marks for quality, performance, features and even value for the price. Based on the fact that ease of use in specific is singled out by a high percentage of reviewers as a particularly impressive feature, the Dial-A-Cycle must be living up the LG's intention for it. As the entry level front load washer, it is no surprise that the WM2140CW reviews rate it highly for value, as it is at a price point barely above that of a similarly sized and featured top loader.

As stated above, there are a small percentage of LG WM2140CW reviews out there that do not rate this front load washer well at all. In fact, they give the unit the lowest possible rating in every category. Reading through these reviews though, in all cases the reviewers come across as almost spitefully giving such a low rating. One reviewer in particular takes umbrage with the maintenance recommended by the owners manual. Given that front load washers do require more maintenance than a top loader, it would be understandable to give low marks for ease of use, and maybe even value, but simply requiring some maintenance to prevent mold doesn't mean the washer is of low quality, or that it doesn't do a good job of getting clothes clean. It is for reasons like this that these reviews should perhaps be considered with a larger grain of salt than the large concentration of reviews that gave the WM2140CW high marks. None of the poor reviews complain about the washer not getting clothes clean, or any malfunctions or defects. If these reviews are treated as outliers the ratings for the WM2140CW go up with a 4.85 out of 5 stars, and every reviewer would recommend this model to another.

On the whole, the LG WM2140CW reviews out there are strong, and with LG's overall track record for producing highly durable, high-performing front load washers, this model is likely to be very popular with consumers. This model is newer, has a larger capacity, and more features than the extremely popular and well liked WM2010CW, and all for the exact same manufacturer suggest price. The WM2140CW seems to take over for two models actually, with the same size as the LG WM2101HW, very similar list of features, but a significantly lower price. The LG WM2140CW should be the front load washer of choice for those consumers looking to purchase an entry-level front loader.

LG WM3885HWCA Front Load Washer Review

Price: $1200-$1500
As of the writing of this review, the LG WM3885HWCA is the newest front load steam washer in LG's model line. Not surprisingly this is model also currently has the highest MSRP of any front load washer that LG has to offer, at $1789, but as noted above, can be found on sale at many online retailers for well below that price. This washer seems extremely similar in design and features to the somewhat older LG WM3875HWCA, yet has an MSRP quite a bit higher. This is not to say that the WM3885HWCA isn't a good value, just that it is extremely similar to another model, while costing a bit more. That price does get you an impressive list of features.

Features:
4.8 cubic feet of capacity to allow the largest possible loads to be washed in the ultra durable stainless steep drum
Direct drive motor increases durability and allows for higher spin speeds, allowing a powerful 1400 RPM max spin speed to wring as much water from clothes before going into the dryer to reduce drying times
Washing tub is tilted slightly back to make reaching in to unload the machine easier
SenseClean system will automatically detect the load size to add the proper amount of water for increased efficiency
6Motion technology uses 6 different motions of the washer drum to get clothes as clean as possible, while being as gentle as possible on those clothes
14 washing programs to choose from including: Allergiene – LG's special anti-allergy program, SteamFresh, Sanitary, SpeedWash, and many more more typical choices.
5 soil levels to allow only as much cleaning as necessary
13 washing options including StainCare, Extra Rinse, FreshCare, SteamWash, and others
5 temperature levels, and many combinations of these levels to choose from.
TrueBalance anti-vibration system to prevent unwanted noise and vibrations and allow the machine to be used on 2nd floor laundry rooms
LoDecibel noise reduction system
Delay wash feature to allow programming the cycle to start at a specific time
End of cycle buzzer
Controls located up front, with a color LCD screen

With an average user rating of 4.9 the LG WM3875HWCA has received high marks from those who own this front load washer. Also, 98% of reviewers would recommend this washer to another consumer, an extremely high mark. For the most part everyone who owns and has reviewed it on the internet seems to agree that they enjoy their new LG WM3885HWCA. Granted, being one of the newest washers that LG has to offer, there aren't as many reviews out there as for some of the older models. This newness means that perhaps some owners simply haven't had it long enough to see any problems arise. Generally speaking, reviewers are impressed with the feature list, and the performance of those features. Also the strong trend is that consumers believe that this machine is well-made and is quite durable.

As far as specific complaints go, there aren't any specific things that people find off-putting about the LG WM3885HWCA, there are however some consumers who seem to be suffering a small amount of buyers remorse, in as much as they're not completely convinced that the, although generally impressive, list of features is worth the sheer price of this washer. This is a sentiment that is expressed about many of the highly expensive steam cleaning front load washers. Another review also commented about the machine having a seemingly difficult time being able to balance a load consisting of a small enough number of items. This complaint is a product of the nature of front load washers. The physics of the situation simply dictate that balancing a single item in the washer drum for the high speed spin cycle will simple not be possible. The LG WM3885HWCA should not be given a negative mark for user error.

Overall, while the LG WM3885HWCA, like basically all LG washers has gotten quite good reviews. Consumers generally feel like they have bought a well-made, high-performing machine. That being said, this is a quite expensive appliance. Not only that, it isn't fully clear to this individual what the real differentiators are between the WM3885HWCA and the WM3875HWCA are. They are both the same capacity, and their specifications seem to be nearly identical too. Given these similarities, and the fact that a quick price search on the internet shows that the WM3785HWCA can be found for under $1000 from some stores, making it about $200 cheaper than the lowest price the could be easily found for the WM3885HWCA, it is not wholly clear why someone should purchase the Wm3885HWCA instead of the WM3875HWCA. Therefore, if you are in the market for a steam cleaning front load washer with a large list of features, and the LG WM3885HWCA has caught you eye, you owe it to yourself to check out this LG WM3875HWCA review before you make a decision on which front load washer to buy.

LG WM1355HW Front Load Washer Review

Price: $950 - $1100

At first glance at the LG WM1355HW front load washer might appear to be vastly over priced. The LG WM2010CW has a much larger capacity, and similar features, for 60% of the cost. The LG WM2501HWA is approximately the same price, and is a steam cleaning front load washer. However, where the LG WM1355HW really differs from these other two LG models is in the overall size of the washer itself; the WM1355HW is a compact front loader. If one of the other models simple won't fit into the space available, then there is no choice but to pay the premium price for the smaller, more compact WM1355HW. Despite this compact size, the LG WM1355HW is not lacking in overall features though.

Features:
- NeveRust stainless steel drum with 2.7 cubic foot capacity for large loads and durability
- Direct drive motor allows longer life and quieter operation
- Ultra high speed 1300 RPM spin reduces drying time be eliminating maximum amount of water during wash cycles
- Delay settings allow programmable start times
- LoDecibel system promotes quiet operation
- 9 different washing programs with 5 temperature settings allow cycles to be tailored to meet the needs of any specific load
- SenseClean system automatically detects load size to add the proper amount of water and choose a cycle time
- Electronic control panel with easy to read LED display
- Sanitary cycle uses internal heater to heat water extra hot for additional cleaning power to remove stains and kill bacteria
- End of cycle tone

There just aren't a large number of reviews out there for the LG WM1355HW front load washer for 2 reasons. First, the WM1355HW is relatively new to the market when compared to a machine like the LG WM2016CW. Secondly, it serves a bit of a niche market being a compact front loader, so most people are likely to choose to buy either a steam cleaning front loader for the same price, or a similarly featured front load washer for much less money. This all means that since there are less reviews out there, trends are less powerful, and the overall averages less meaningful

That all being said, those who have purchased and rated the LG WM1355HW have rated it highly, giving it 4.7 out of a possible 5 starts. In addition, to this high rating, 94% say they would recommend this front load washer to another consumer. The individual aspects that consumers like the most about the WM1355HW are its overall quality, its performance, and its impressive list of features. The first two in that list of three are probably the most important to most consumers, as nobody wants to make a purchase like this and have it broken shortly thereafter. Similarly, if one is to spend over $1000 on a clothes washer, it had better get clothes clean when they are done a wash cycle. While many consumers are infatuated by the list of features on many front load washers, it is unlikely that many of them will get much use, but they are available on this machine if needed.

One aspect about the LG WM1355HW that, in general, did not get very good reviews is the value for price. This seems likely to be related to the fact that, quite frankly, compared to most 'standard' sized front load washers the WM1355HW is a good deal more pricey. However, if the only thing taken into consideration is the cost of this washer compared to the compact front load washers available from other manufacturers then it fares quite well. Besides the fact of getting relatively poor marks for value, there aren't really any truly negative reviews out there. This should be taken with a reasonable dose of circumspect, as it is entirely possible that this washer just isn't old enough to have experienced some of the issues that consumers might not run into until they've owned it for 6 or 8 months and done 50+ loads of wash with it.

Generally speaking, if you are searching for a front load washer and you've got ample space in your laundry room, the LG WM1355HW is probably not the proper choice for you, as there are much better values for the money out there. However, if space is at a premium in your laundry room, like in a condo or something similar, and you want a front load washer, then with its reviewers giving it generally high praise, and its list of features take a look at the LG WM1355HW to suit your needs.

LG WM2801HWA Front Load Washer Review

Price Range: $1250 – 1380

The LG WM2801HWA front load washer with steam is one of the older models in LG's lineup of front load washers. In fact, it was only their second front load washer to have steam cleaning cycles, following the WM3001HWA. With a capacity the same size, as the older WM3001HWA, some additional refinements, only slightly less ultra high end features, and a price tag about 10% cheaper it is clear that the LG WM2801HWA front load washer was a clear evolutionary step for LG's steam washers. Despite being relatively a cheaper steam cleaning front load washer, the LG WM2801HWA was by no means inexpensive, still costing nearly double that of an entry level LG front loader without steam options, like the LG WM2016CW. If, as a consumer, having a washer with steam cycles is important to you, then you're got to be willing to pay the premium price associated with these features. At the time it was new, LG was still the only company to offer steam cycles on their front load washers.

Features:
- 4.5 cu. ft. capacity for ultra large loads, and a stainless steel drum guaranteed never to rust
- DirectDrive motor allows extremely high spin speeds to efficiently extract water
- 9 wash programs featuring permanent press, delicates, and hand wash among the list
- TrueSteam technology gently adds steam for improved cleaning performance
- LG exclusive Allergine cycles are designed to remove up to 95% of allergens, like pet dander, from clothes
- SteamFresh cycle option is designed for odor reduction, freshening, and limiting wrinkles in clothes
- Extra large door opening compared to previous washers to allow easier loading and unloading
- Special wash and rinse optimizer uses sensors to determine the proper amount of detergent based on water hardness and load characteristics
- 4-tray dispenser adds prewash, main wash, bleach and softener at the proper cycle time
- TrueBalance Anti-Vibration System designed to reduce vibration and limit noise while running
- Stackable can have a dryer mounted on top of washer

Based solely on the number of reviews that are available for the LG WM2801HWA front load washer out there, this particular model was never quite as popular a purchase as some of LG's other front loaders. Based on the content of the reviews that are out there, this apparent lack of popularity is not due to any specific negative aspect of this particular model. Out of 5 possible stars, the WM2801HWA receives an overall rating of 4.8. Not surprisingly given this high rating, 96% of reviewers said that they would recommend purchasing this model to another consumer.

There is certainly a trend in the positive comments in the reviews out there. Well over 90% of reviewers listed ease of use and performance as two of the things that most impressed them about the LG WM2801HWA. To this individual a high rating in performance is certainly paramount. I don't do enough loads of laundry to make some minor added complexity a real detriment, but I certainly expect my clothes to come out of the washer clean. In addition to ease-of-use and performance, about 85% of the reviews out there list the overall number of features as a major positive, and similarly about 85% list quality as a high point as well. High marks for quality are the norm for LG washers, and really, what consumer wants to buy a product that won't last. It should be no surprise that the overall number of features of this front load washer are thought of highly, as at the time it was released only LG offered some of the features found on the WM2801HWA, and similarly the WM3001HWA.

In all the reviews that are summarized here, only one was really, truly negative, giving this washer the minimum of 1 start in all categories. I feel that this was done unfairly. The reviewer was mainly ranting about being unable to wash single items or otherwise extremely small loads, due to the washer's inability to balance the drum to allow it to spin. They also complain that when attempting to wash a load at the maximum capacity for the machine that the cycle takes too long. Neither of these complaints is valid in the eyes of this reviewer as both of these are well known issues that go along with all front load washers. This individual claims to have done research on the internet before making their purchase, but they clearly did not do a good job of it. Furthermore, given these two complaints, it seems justifiable that this particular reviewer would give a low mark for performance, and perhaps ease of use as well. This review does not, however, mention that the machine has in any way broken or malfunctioned, therefore the lowest possible rating given for quality does not seem justified. Overall only about 60% of reviewers thought that the LG WM2801HWA was a particularly good value, and given the relatively high price of this machine, that seems a logical conclusion to draw to a certain extent.

Overall, the LG WM2801HWA is a well-liked, durable, high performance front load washing machine with steam technology. It is also old, and somewhat out of date. If you can find a store selling this model, perhaps they will have it on a clearance sale. Unless this particular model can be purchased for about $1000, which is very unlikely, there are newer machines out with with larger capacities, more features, and an extremely similar price tag. For an example of this, take a look at this LG WM3875HWCA review; it is newer, larger, and most stores have it for about the same price. Another very good option can be found in this LG WM2501HWA review; it is only slightly smaller in capacity, but has extremely similar features, and is nearly 20% cheaper. While there is absolutely nothing wrong with the LG WM2801HWA front load washer, there is probably a better fit out there for most consumers.

LG WM0642HW Front Load Washer Review

Price Range: $800-$1000
The LG WM0642HW front load washer serves somewhat of a niche market for LG in their overall line of front load washers. With a 4.0 cubic foot capacity, it is the same size as the LG WM2050CW, and is also somewhat more expensive. The major difference between this front load washer and the others in LG's portfolio is the location of the controls. Whereas most front load washers have their controls on the front face, and can therefore be stacked below a dryer, the LG WM0642HW has its control panel located at the back of the top face for easier access. Other than that, there isn't much else to set this front loader off from the WM2050CW as far as features are concerned.

Features:
-4.0 cubic foot XL capacity allows fewer loads, while the stainless steel drum construction gaurantees durability.
-Dial-A-Cycle option is designed with ease of use in mind
-DirectDrive motor powers the wash tub without use of a belts pulleys reduces noise and vibrations while allowing an ultra high spin speed which can remove extra water and allow shorter drying times
-SenseClean washing system uses sensors to detect the load size and weight, then automatically add the proper amount of water and cycle time
-Programmable delayed start setting allows setting a loaded washer to start at a later, more convenient time
-TilTub tub system has the washing tub tilted slightly back for easier access to load and unload
-7 wash programs and 6 temperature settings will allow customization of the washer settings to optimize it for any particular load
-Dispenser with 4 trays to automatically add the prewash, detergent, bleach or fabric softener at the proper time
-Custom Program feature allows users to save off frequently used custom load settings
-End-of-cycle signal will provide an audible notice that the load is complete
-LoDecibel Sound System reduces operating noise

As previously noted here, the LG WM0642HW serves a bit of a niche market, and as such, it shouldn't be surprising that there aren't quiet as many reviews out there for this model as there are for some of the others. That understood, there are still plenty of reviews out there from which to draw conclusions on this particular front load washer. Receiving an overall rating of 4.7 out of 5 stars, with 94% of owners stating that they would recommend this product to another shopper indicates that this front loader serves the niche it is in quite well.

Of the things about their LG WM0642HW that people who have bought them most like, there are 3 things that stand out, and are very even with just over 90% of people listing them as things they like about their washer: quality, easy of use, and performance. All three of these are, some of the things that most people look for in anything they're looking to purchase. No amount of fancy features and ability to clean even the toughest stains out of clothes are likely to many anyone happy if the machine is broken most of the time. Likewise, a washer that will last forever, and gets clothes clean, but feels like work to use will probably be replaced while it is still in good working order. Lastly, a washer that will never break down, and basically loads itself with clothes still won't be much good if the clothes aren't clean when the cycle finishes.

The complaints about the LG WM0642HW are mostly centered around the exact same issues that almost all complaints about all front loaders are. A good amount of the complaints out there have to do with vibration. With so many of the complaints about this, and in fact all, front loaders centered around this topic, but the vast majority of front loaders out there getting very strong reviews, one must wonder if there's not something in common with the consumers that have this issue and not the washers themselves. Also some complain about the dreaded musty, moldy front load washer issue. Again, at some point one must wonder if this doesn't have something to do with the laundry room itself, as probably 20% of all front loader complaints are for this issue. There is also a complaint that the machine just does not perform up to expectations, however, this is in direct contradiction to the fact that performance is listed as one of the best aspects of this machine.

Overall, the LG WM0642HW front load washer isn't the most popular front loader out there, not even among the offerings from LG. Those who have bought it though surely seem to be happy with their purchase, as is evidenced by the high rating and propensity to recommend this product. While it doesn't have any particularly special features to actually aid in cleaning clothes themselves, but the location of the controls at the top and back of the machine adds to a more ergonomic washer experience. If you are in the market for a front load washer, you aren't interested in stacking your washer and dryer, and you're willing to pay somewhat of a premium for a slightly easier to use washer, perhaps the LG WM0642HW will fill your needs.

LG WM2301HW Front Load Washer Review

Price Range: $800-$950
If you are in the market for a front load washer with huge capacity without a huge price tag, then perhaps the LG WM2301HW front load washer is for you. With a 4.2 cubic foot capacity washer tub, the WM2301HW dwarfs some of the other front load washers in LG's lineup, like the LG WM2010CW, though it isn't quite as large as the 4.8 cubic foot capacity of the LG WM3875HWCA and it lacks the steam feature, it is also significantly less expensive, while still possessing an impressive list of features.

Features:
4.2 cubic foot capacity stainless steel wash drum will handle enormous loads and is build for durability
Dial-A-Cycle option is designed with ease of use in mind
DirectDrive motor powers the wash tub without use of a belt and allows an ultra high spin speed to remove more water in the spin cycle to reduce drying times
SenseClean washing system automatically detects the size and weight of the load and chooses the proper amount of water to add
Programmable delay setting allows the washer to be loaded and set, but the cycle will begin when most convenient
TilTub tub tilting system allows easy access to the back of the wash tub for unloading
9 wash programs – from cotton to wool to delicate; 10 washing options – from prewash to extra rinse; 5 water temperature settings; and 5 soil level settings allow for nearly infinite tuning to precisely the load being washed
End-of-cycle signal will provide an audible notice that the load is complete
LeDecibel Sound System reduces operating noise
TrueBalance Anti-Vibration system prevents washer vibrations, allowing use even in a 2nd floor laundry room

The WM2301HW is another popular front load washer, with many hundreds of consumer reviews out there to read through. Much like many of the other front load washers in LG's line the WM2301HW gets good overall reviews. Receiving an overall rating of 4.8 stars out of a possible 5 shows that people who by this front loader are generally quite happy with their purchase. In a related piece of information 97% of people who have reviewed their WM2301HW would recommend that another person make the same purchase. As far as the aspects of the LG WM2301HW that owners are most pleased with, performance is the most often cited thing. This makes sense; this washer was built to clean massive amounts of clothes, and consumers agree that it lives up to this. Consumers are also generally impressed with the overall list of features that the machine possesses, and people also note that the WM2301HW is quite easy to use. Consumers also generally agree that the overall build quality and durability of this machine are top notch, which keeps right in line with most of the washers in the LG family. Lastly among the aspects of their WM2301HW that consumers tend to like is the overall design and layout of the machine. To me, this follows along with the ease of use aspect too.

As far as complaints against this washer go, there are complaints of issues with mold and musty odors related to this machine. These were extremely common themes among the complaints about front loaders a few years ago, but there hadn't been as much talk of these issues lately, largely due to consumers being better educated on caring for their front loader. I wonder if that is the case with some of these complaints. Interestingly there are a few reviewers that gave this machine just terrible reviews for issues that amount to more or less be their own fault. For example, one reviewer complained that because of the way their laundry room is set up, when the door is open, it creates an inconvenience to transfer clothes from washer to dryer. Another complains that they don't like to have to kneel down to remove their clothes after a cycle completes, and can't get a pedestal to aid in this because they lack the room. While both of these complaints can negatively affect your feeling about a new washer, the issue in both cases lies with the consumer, not the product. It certainly isn't LG's fault that someone bought a washer without considering the space it would be housed in. Of some concern are that there are a few negative reviews out there the complain about either their clothes not being particularly clean, which seems to be in a direct contradiction with the fact that the most often cited “best feature” of the WM2301HW is performance. Perhaps these people are using non-high efficiency detergents, or their clothes are especially soiled and they're not using a rigorous enough cycle. There is also a complaint about clothes coming out with black marks on them. The reviewer states that it doesn't happen often, but when it does the marks cannot be removed by washing the load again, and thus has ruined some items. This is a bad complaint, but there is only one such complaint in the hundreds of reviews out there.

Overall, if you have a large family and need to wash a lot of clothes on a regular basis, the LG WM2301HW front load washer might be a good fit for you. With its massive capacity, high performance as rated by people who own one, and generally high quality, it appears to be a good buy. Granted, it will cost a fair amount more than some of the smaller front loaders out there, and doesn't have some of the high end features, like steam settings, of some more costly models. Taken on the whole though, the LG WM2301HW is very likely to leave anyone who buys it a satisfied consumer.

LG WM2050CW Front Load Washer Review

Price Range: $550-650
Are you in the market for a front load washer, don't want to spend a lot of money, but you're worried that the small capacity of some of the least expensive front loaders out there, like the 3.5 cubic foot size of the LG WM2010CW just isn't enough for you? If that is the case, then perhaps the LG WM2050CW front load washer is the right choice for you. Serving as LG's entry level option in what I will call the mid-size, 4.0 cubic foot, front loader market, the WM2050CW can be found at many stores for only slightly more cost than the smaller WM2010CW. While it may lack some of the features found on the LG WM2101HW, it is also a good amount cheaper, and not totally devoid of features itself.
Features:
4.0 cubic foot capacity allows for large loads of wash
Direct Drive motor with 10 year warranty built for durability
7 different wash programs cover most clothes washing scenarios
SenseClean system automatically detects the size of the load and adds only the necessary amount of water
TruBalance anti-vibration system designed to make this washer run smoothly, even in 2nd floor applications
LoDecibel system ensures that this washer operates quietly
Dealy Wash feature allows for a programmed start time
End of cycle buzzer alerts when the washer has finished
4 compartment automatic dispenser to add the prewash, detergent, bleach and fabric softener
High speed spin reduces drying time by getting more water out of the clothes before they go into the dryer
1 year full warranty on parts and labor, 2 years on control board, 10 years for motor, lifetime for washing tub

If the number of customer reviews of the LG WM2050CW is any indication of popularity, and I believe it is, then this has been quite a successful item for LG. Out of literally hundreds and hundreds of reviews this washer has received an overall rating of 4.8 out of 5 stars. High marks like these are pretty typical of other LG front load washers as well. Not surprisingly, given the overall high rating, 97% of people who own a WM2050CW would recommend it to another person. The most commonly mentioned best feature of the WM2050CW is the overall quality of the machine. This bodes well overall, because all the bells and whistles in the world won't do anyone any good if the machine never works. Next on the list of things that consumers really enjoy is the machine's performance, again very important as what good is something that will last forever and look pretty, but poorly performs its intended purpose. The vast majority of consumers also list ease of use as a high point for the WM2050CW. The list of features and available programs also has many impressed. Rounding out the list of high points is the machine's style. Looks and style are pretty low on my personal list of things I am looking for in a washer, but for some maybe that isn't the case.

As far as the complaints that owners have with their WM2050CW, one thing that did somewhat present itself was that not many listed good overall value as a positive – they also didn't list it as a negative aspect, so people don't necessarily find it to be a poor value, just not a good one. Of the negative reviews out there that name something specific, and there aren't many, there does seem to be a trend. The most commonly mentioned problem that people have with this machine is that it vibrates, particularly in 2nd floor laundry rooms. This is in a very direct contrast to what LG's website lists as a major feature of this washer, so it is understandable that people would be upset. There was one major complaint about the temperature settings where warm doesn't get warm, and hot only gets lukewarm. One thing worth noting is that of all the reviews I've read through, and that number is in the hundreds, there weren't any complaints about something breaking shortly after getting the machine, and typically there are at least a few complaints like that, though I suppose that is in direct agreement with quality being listed as the number one best aspect of the WM2050CW.

Overall, if you're looking for a front load washer with a large capacity, and you're willing to sacrifice a few of the high-end features in the name of a cheaper purchase price, based on all the LG WM2050CW reviews that I've read through and summarized here, this machine should almost certainly make it onto your short list of washing machines to look into. With high marks in quality and performance, and a generally very satisfied customer base, LG seems to have another winner with their WM2050CW front load washer.

LG WM3875HWCA Front Load Washer Review

Price Range: $1200-$1400

The LG WM3875HWCA SteamWasher is the new flagship front load washer in the LG line of washing machines. Replacing the older, smaller, and much more expensive LG WM3001HWA, LG has delivered what looks like another in their line of successful front load washers. With the impressive list of features on this model, it can only be a matter of time before the older more expensive WM3001HWA is no longer a factor.

Features:
4.8 cubic foot capacity stainless steel drum allows for simply massive loads and impeccable durability
LG's new 6Motion technology moves the tub in 6 different directions to reduce wear and tear on clothes
14 automatic cycles with 10 additional optional steam cycles allow tailoring the wash cycle to any type of load
Allergiene and SteamFresh cycles use the TrueSteam technology to eliminate germs, orors, and allergens
SenseClean technology makes use of electronic sensors for the ideal cleaning environment
Timed starting options allow programming the start time of the washer to best suit your schedule
Automatic dispensers to add the bleach, fabric softener and prewash at the proper times
Status indicators to allow you to easily see the process of your wash cycles
Child safety locks
TrueBalance and LoDecibel systems to ensure a quiet and smoothly running machine

With an average user rating of 4.9 the LG WM3875HWCA is another strong performer for LG as far as customer satisfaction goes. Basically everyone who owns one of these machines and has reviewed it on the internet seems to agree on the things they like about this washing machine. Universally the first thing listed as a positive aspect of this front load washer is its performance. This should not be surprising though, given the sheer size of this washer, and the list of high end features to make doing laundry easy. The number of features and settings is also touted as a strong point for this washer, and with all the cycle options available this shouldn't be particularly surprising either. Many owners are impressed with the overall quality of the machine, though perhaps this should be taken with a grain of sale as the washer itself is quite new to the market. This newness means that perhaps some owners simply haven't had it long enough to see any problems arise. Also noted on a majority of reviews is the overall ease of use of the WM3875HWCA and the style of it.

As far as specific complaints go, there are some owners who question just how good all those sensors are that are supposedly able to figure out what size of load is in the washer to use the proper amount of water and cycle time, especially when trying to do particularly large loads, like a king size comforter. Also there are complaints that the child safety lock is flimsy and easily defeated by small children, therefore rendering it effectively useless.

If you are in the market for a front load washer with all the bells and whistles, this could quite possibly be the one for you. It surely seems to be the best that LG has to offer, being much newer, and cheaper than the WM3001HWA. While it hasn't been out on the market for all that long, the early reviews are quite good, however, the price may still be a deterrent for many would be purchasers, as this front load washer will certainly cost well in excess of $1000 even when found on sale. If you're after capacity, and you're willing to sacrifice the steam cleaning abilities, perhaps the LG WM2101HW with its 4.0 cubic foot capacity and much lower price tag is the right choice for you.

LG WM2501HWA Front Load Washer Review

Price Range: $1000-1100

Not quite as large and feature laden, and also not quite as expensive as the top of the line LG WM3001HWA it is still much more costly than the entry level, and ultra popular, LG WM2010CW front load washer. With its 4.2 cubic foot capacity, the ability of this washer to handle large loads with ease is also touted as a strong point. Many reviewers commented on the affordability of the LG WM2501HWA relative to other steam cleaning front load washers.
Many reviewers made note of the LG WM2501HWA long cycle times when using the special steam settings. It should be taken into consideration that the steam cycles are in addition to the normal cycles, not in lieu of. It is recommended that users wipe off the the front door seal between uses, which some find annoying, but this is a well known issue with front load washers. There were a few complaints noted, but nothing that would represent a trend, and certainly nothing that should cause a consumer to stay away from purchasing a LG WM2501HWA.
For those looking to purchase a new front load washing machine with the steam cleaning capabilities the LG WM2501HWA should certainly be considered. With the overall reputation of the LG name consumers should have nothing to fear concerning the quality and durability of this front load washer with steam cleaning technology. Also being significantly less costly than other front load washers with steam cleaning on the market today, the LG WM2501HWA boasts a full list of features. However, if cost is really an object, and the steam cleaning cycles aren't a necessity, it is worth looking into the LG WM2101HW. With its cleaning ability and also SteamFresh to help eliminate wrinkles this front load washer would make a strong addition to any laundry room.

LG Front Load Washer Review Model WM3001HWA

Price Range: $1300-1500
The LG WM3001HWA front load steam washer is the flagship of the LG line of front load washers, to be more precise, it is their overall top of the line washing machine, top or front loading. With a price tag twice that of the entry level, and ultra popular, LG WM2010CW front load washer LG is certainly expecting consumers to be willing to pay a premium for their top of the line steam clean front load washer. This is by far the most expensive washer reviewed here, even more costly than the Frigidaire stacked combination front load washer and dryer, but with an impressive list of features and capabilities to, at least attempt to, justify that price.
Features:
- Menu based controls with an LCD screen and Dial-A-Cycle allows easy customization of settings for each specific load of laundry
- 4.5 cu. ft. capacity for ultra large loads
- DirectDrive motor with ultra high spin speed efficiently extracts water
- 9 wash programs to choose from including permanent press, delicates, and hand wash
- SteamWash settings can add steam to sanitary, bulky, normal/cotton, and permanent press cycles

- 4-tray dispenser adds prewash, main wash, bleach and softener at the proper cycle time
- durable stainless-steel drum
- End-of-cycle signal
- TrueBalance Anti-Vibration System reduces vibrations to keep machine quite while running
- Stackable can have a dryer mounted on top of washer

Customers who have purchased the LG WM3001HWA have been quite pleased with it overall. The average rating is a 4.4 out of 5 stars, and 85% would recommend this washer to another shopper. The most often mentioned positive characteristics of this washer by the people who use them are that is has a fantastic cleaning ability. Many reviewers note that the steam cleaning feature is able to get clothes much cleaner than other washers, and also that the SteamFresh cycle works well to limit wrinkles. The overall ease of use was also a common theme among those consumers who have chosen to review this product. The extremely large capacity of this front load washer was also almost universally noted. Also, the aesthetics of this washer are soundly praised, despite most laundry rooms being well hidden from sight.

Without truly being a positive or a negative, as this truly is at or near the top of the mountain for front load washers as far as features are concerned, many reviewers commented on the expense of the LG WM3001HWA. There was no real negative sentiment indicating that consumers feel that this model is a poor value for the price, but also there were no positive sentiments about value for price either.

The most common complaint among reviewers of the LG WM3001HWA is that the cycle times are long. However, this should be expected given that the steam cycles are in addition to, not in replacement of, the rest of the more typical wash actions. As with all front load washers, it is recommended that the front door seal be wiped off to dry it after use, a fact that some find annoying. This is a well known and documented issue with front load washers, and has been for years, and should not be considered a real deterrent from purchasing a new front load washing machine. The only real complaint any reviewers had with the LG WM3001HWA is that sometimes the front door seal can leak during operation, an issue that is covered under warranty.

Overall the LG WM3001HWA should certainly be considered by anyone who is looking to purchase a new front load washing machine with the steam cleaning capabilities. Backed by the LG name consumers should feel secure in the quality and durability of this steam cleaning front load washer. Although significantly more costly than many other front load washers on the market today, the LG WM3001HWA has a full list of features to justify spending the extra money over an entry level washer. Its ability to get clothes very clean and help eliminate wrinkles are unquestioned by those who have purchased this machine. All in all this front load washer would make a strong addition to any laundry room.

LG Front Load Washer Review Model WM2101HW

Price Range: $700-800
This LG model is slightly more expensive than the other LG front load washers that are reviewed on this site, the LG WM2016CW and the LG WM2010CW, but with good reason. Quite simply, this particular front load washer offering from LG is larger and has a more robust list of features than the smaller, less expensive models that LG has to offer. This is the largest capacity front load washer yet reviewed here, but it is priced similarly to many of the smaller models from other manufacturers.

Features:
- Front control panel with Dial-A-Cycle option for simple, reliable operation with a child lock to prevent unintended operation
- 4.0 cu. ft. capacity for extra large loads
- DirectDrive motor with an 1100 rpm spin speed efficiently extracts water
- 7 wash programs: normal, cotton/towels, permanent press, delicates, sanitary, large, quick wash, and hand wash
- SenseClean system adjusts water level and wash time for load size and weight to improve performance
- 9 washing options: prewash, SpinSense, tub clean, water plus, rinse & spin, stain cycle, extra rinse
- 5 adjustable soil levels to help remove tough stains with ease
- 5 adjustable wash temperatures allowing cold/cold, warm/cold, warm/warm, hot/cold and extra hot/cold combinations
- 19-hour delay-wash allows programing the cycle start when most convenient
- 4-tray dispenser adds prewash, main wash, bleach and softener at the proper cycle time
- durable stainless-steel drum
- End-of-cycle signal
- LoDecibel sound-reduction and TrueBalance Anti-Vibration System 4 leveling legs reduce operation noise and vibrations to keep your home quiet.
- Stackable can have a dryer mounted on top of washer
LG has a strong and well liked performer with this WM2101HW front load washer. With an average rating of 4.8 out of 5 stars and fully nearly 100% of owners being willing to recommend this washer to another shopper this model is a real hit with consumers who have purchased one. This is the first model of front load washer reviewed in this space where on multiple major retailer websites there were 0 fully negative reviews.

The reviews for this front load washing machine are superb in the areas of value for money, and ease of use, with the average being a 4.96 out of 5 stars in those categories over a few dozen reviews. Many reviews note that the child lock on the controls is very useful for families with young children in the house, as the controls are located right on the front of the machine in reach of young, curious children. There were no major complaints concerning the manufacture quality or the durability of these front load washers. A huge percentage of reviews commented about the massive capacity of this unit. This is to be expected, as even the smaller front loading washers, like the LG WM2010CW, have a larger capacity than most typical top loaders.

The only even partially negative review was posted by a consumer who had owned the unit for over 5 years before deciding to post a review. This review complained about a few inexpensive repairs that were needed, but that nothing went wrong until the machine was at least 4 years old. The complaints here were a broken door to one of the dispenser compartments, sagging door hinges, and some other things of that nature. Given the low incidence of complaints, and the nature of of them, it is entirely possible that this particular owner is simply a little hard on certain components.

Overall, this LG WM2101HW front load washer is sure not to disappoint based on the vastly positive reviews out there. For a larger family, or simply one that has demanding laundry needs, this machine would be an excellent choice due to its significantly larger capacity than both top load and other front load washers. This increased capacity can lead to requiring less overall loads to be done, decreasing water use, and energy use in the dryer due to the high speed spin cycle. Even better, this LG front load washer costs only slightly more than some competitor's smaller offerings. With this model, LG takes command of the mid-size front load washer market.

LG Front Load Washer Review Model WM2010CW

Price Range - $500-$600

With prices under $600 quite easy to find for this LG front load washer this represents the most budget friendly model yet reviewed in this space. In addition to being the most inexpensive front load washer reviewed here to date, it is also the one with the highest overall rating. Though not quite as popular as the LG WM2016CW front load washer the WM2010CW seems to be a popular choice for many consumers.

Features:
3.5 cubic foot capacity
multiple options for wash, spin, water temperature
4 tray detergent dispenser adds bleach, softener, wash and pre-wash automatically at the right times
stainless steel washer tub for durability
end of cycle tone with adjustable volume control
SenseClean washing system automatically adjusts the water level based on sensors input of load size and weight
designed specifically for quiet operation
delay setting allows you to set a timer so the machine will run when most convenient
stackable, can put dryer on top of washer
full warranty for 1 year, 2 years on control unit, 7 years on motor, lifetime on washing tub
energy star compliant

This front load washer is rated extremely highly by those who have purchased it. The average rating for this model is an impressive 4.9 out of 5 stars with nearly 100% of reviewers willing to recommend it to others. People owning these machines give it extremely high marks, averaging over a 4.9 out of 5 for value, quality features and performance. LG seems to have really paid attention to quality control throughout their manufacturing process with this front load washer, as there are extremely few consumers that complain of any quality or durability issues.

There were no complaints about this washer that wouldn't be made about any front load washer. Even the reports of mold along the door seal are less common with this model than other models. Perhaps LG has found a way to correct that issue, given that this seems to be a newer model than many of the others on the market. As with all front load washers, there are a few complaints about vibrations when the machine is improperly balanced during high speed spin cycles. Again, as is common for front load washers, some reviewers comment on the increased washing times for heavily soiled loads compared to top load washers.

Overall, this LG front load washer seems like it is a fantastic choice for anyone in the market for a new washing machine. The prices are low enough to make it competitive with top loading washers, and given the benefits of front load washers, the cost savings of operation should make up for those differences many fold over the life of this high quality, full featured, but inexpensive front load washer.

LG Front Load Washer Review Model WM2016CW

MSRP: $699
I chose this model to compile the reviews of because of a few reasons. First, it meets my price range of less than $750. Also, after looking at a few retailer websites, this seems to be the most popular LG model that people choose to buy, probably because of its low price relative to many other front load washers out there.

Features:
3.5 cubic foot capacity
many many settings to choose from for wash, spin, water temperature
4 tray detergent dispenser adds bleach, softener, wash and prewash automatically at the right times
stainless steel washer tub for durability
end of cycle beep and timer to let you know how much time remains
designed specifically for quiet operation
stackable, can put dryer on top of washer.
full warranty for 1 year, 2 years on control unit, 7 years on motor, lifetime on washing tub
energy star compiant

I found a few hundred reviews of this particular model of washer, so I will do my best to summarize them here.

The thing that jumps out to me most is that this particular front load washer has gotten quite good reviews overall. On the 5 star system, it averages about 4.7 stars, and well over 90% of people would recommend it to a friend.

Many people mention the long cycle times, however, this is a product of seemingly all front load washer models, and not specific to LG or this model in particular. Many people comment on how quietly this machine runs. Many people mention that they are not pleased with the need to wipe the inside of the door down after the last cycle for the day and leave the door open when the machine is not in use to prevent mold from growing on the inside of the door. Most people seem pretty impressed with the load size they are able to run with this washer, with many stating that they're doing less loads over time than with their previous washers. People that pay for their water have definitely commented that the water savings can be noticed at the end of the month. There were a lot of mentions that cycle times were a bit longer, but many people also pointed out that this time is saved by the clothes coming out dryer and spending less time in the dryer. Also, this seems to be a general issue with any front load washer, not just this model.

After reading through well over 200 reviews, I have to say the vast majority of these reviews are very positive. In fact, the only people that gave it anything but a 4 or 5 were people whose machines broke quickly after purchase. Any produce will have a certain risk of failure, that is why there are warranties. Of all the reviews I read through, only maybe 3 or 4 had any major issue, and all but one of them did say that LG resolved the problem free of charge under warranty, and the single outlier just didn't say anything.

All in all this product is recommended by almost everyone who buys it, it rates well for value for the price, and saves most people money. Due to this, this front load washer has quickly moved to the top of of my potential purchases.
